 Mentor the client’s identification, selection, and practice of strategies that help sustain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for maintaining treatment progress, relapse prevention, maintenance of their mental illness and continuing care.
 Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Group Counseling:
 Describe, select, and appropriately use strategies from accepted and evidence-based, culturally appropriate models for group counseling with addicted or substance abusing client.
 Perform the actions necessary to start a group, including determining group type, purpose, size, and leadership; recruiting and selecting members; establishing group goals and clarifying behavioral ground rules for participating; identifying outcomes; and determining criteria and methods for termination or graduation from the group.
 Facilitate the entry of new members and the transition of existing members.
 Facilitate group growth within the established ground rules, and precipitate movement toward group and individual goals by using methods consistent with group type.
 Understand the concepts of “process” and “content” and shift the focus of the group when such an intervention will help the group move toward its goals.

Prepare administrative and clinical department meetings including meeting agendas/minutes, trainings, food ordering, notifications/emails, electronic media upload and paper material packets as required.

Maintain boardroom Teams and Outlook meeting calendars as well as Teams meeting links and setup/preparation of boardroom equipment for in-person and virtual attendees.

Coordinate travel arrangements for clinical staff, with follow-up with the Director of Billing, and Finance Dept.

Assist in coordinating employee appreciation and acknowledgment initiatives and company events.

Conduct monthly inspections as required by licensing and accreditation organizations.

Keep the general building clean and well maintained to ensure optimal safety of staff and visitors.

Requisition training materials and office supplies as needed for, administration operations, clinical programs and special projects.

Assist in maintaining and distributing clinical records according to Akeela Policy & Procedure, Joint Commission, and the Alaska Department of Behavioral Health

Check Akeela email and read the facility communication log at the beginning of each shift.

Collect Urinalysis (UA) samples as directed by clinical staff and record results appropriately.

Conduct fire and earthquake drills as directed by program manager or designee, document the results, and submit to the floor counselor.

Provide additional assistance to program manager, floor counselor, and other clinical staff.
